The 3 Simple Step System

There is – I think you’ll agree – a LOT of noise on the interwebs about sales, lead generation etc etc..

I’d estimate nearly 90% of it is a crock of shit. Either completely false or at best, mis-leading.

I’m not going to waste your time today. Instead I’m going to keep it simple. Ready?

This is the essence of what I call The Simple 3 Step System. Not an ounce of fat, everything you read from now on is proven, tried & tested

Here are 3 things you need to build a successful business:

a product or service that does exactly what it says on the tin

a ‘starving crowd’ who wants what you sell and is willing to pay you for it

a ‘bomb-proof system to deliver that product or service to your new client as quickly & efficiently as possible

That’s it. You need to make sure you have these 3 sorted before we go any further.

One quick note: I mention product or service in the singular, but ideally you should have a range of products and services

Hopefully it is obvious to you why those 3 are essential for your business to enjoy any lasting success

#1 generates sales and repeat clients who will happily recommend you to their peers, friends and colleagues. Social proof and referrals are GOLD. You must do everything you can to generate social proof. Also, don’t you want to sleep soundly at night?

#2 a ‘starving crowd’ – it stands to reason you need SOLID DEMAND for your products & services – a real, genuine appetite for whatever it is you do. This will be evident IF you have #1 sorted.

#3 every successful business in the world has proven systems in place that allow them to operate efficiently and effectively. None of them are perfect, obviously, but they are frequently stress tested and tweaked so they remain robust. For example, if you spend time/money attracting your ideal clients then why would you risk losing them because you wouldn’t get their order delivered quickly and efficiently? that will also attract bad reviews, undoing all the good work you’ve done so far…

OK, so those are the 3 building blocks you need to succeed

Note: Another 3, this time? 3 metrics you need to know:

CTO – contribution to overhead – every pound your business makes is CTO. Until you reach break-even, the point at which you meet all your overheads, everything after that is profit. Gross profit, but profit nonetheless. Everything I show you in The Simple 3 Step System is geared towards generating CTO as quickly as possible so you start making profit

CLV – customer lifetime value – defined thus: the amount of money your customer spends with you x the amount of time they remain a customer eg £10k per year x 18 months = £15K CLV. As you continue through The Simple 3 Step System you’ll discover how to increase this figure

CAC – customer acquisition cost – defined quite simply as the amount of money it costs you to attract a new client. You need to get this figure as low as possible and you already have a MASSIVE clue as to how to do that

Let’s begin:

Get your customer to spend more on every order – how to do this? offer upsells & cross-sells…this is why you should have a number of products and services to sell. If not yours then white label others or set up affiliate deals. Doing this will automatically increase your CLV – customer lifetime value

Get your customer to order more often – how to do this? make it stupid easy to order from you, offer them MORE OPPORTUNITY to buy from you – email marketing is a very good way to do this but you could try whatsapp marketing, depends on how well you know your ideal client. Again, this will increase your CLV

Attract more clients – how to do this? cast your mind back to those 3 building blocks we covered at the top of this page…#1 in fact “a product or service that does exactly what it says on the tin” – the social proof you get, reviews & testimonials, will help you attract more clients therefore significantly reducing your CAC – customer acquisition cost

That – in a nutshell – is how you grow any business including yours, whatever you sell
